Bold Enough To Be A BlackBerry?

Posted on 20 May 2008

BlackBerry recently came out with the Bold.  Does it fulfill all of the hype that it’s made out to be?  Compared to the Curve, it is much longer, but thinner.  It’s width feels thinner because of how the battery door curves in.  Now lets explore the specifications in this mobile device.  It has a 480 x 300 resolution screen.  Speaking of the screen, it is much larger than the curve and 8000 series devices.  Another addition that BlackBerry has made to the Bold is a faster processor.  It is now running a 624 Mhz. processor in the Bold.  A new feature that BlackBerry added to their devices is Wi-Fi.  The Bold does come equipped with this feature.  BlackBerry has also been working on a new operation system.  They introduced O.S. 4.6 in the Bold.  Other specifications about the Bold are a battery life on standby of 13 days and a talking life of 5 hours.  I really do think this device will turn heads because BlackBerry has changed the way their devices work with the new operating system.  There is only one thing that I have to say about the operating system and that is, it just makes life easier.
