RIM BlackBerry Flip Phone: Kickstart

Posted on 05 May 2008

Ok, so this is kinda old news now however I feel like writing about this because I love BlackBerrys.

I have had a BlackBerry forever, and the only reason I think ANYONE should buy one is if they need their email on the go, and need to access the internet on the go. Nowadays, people looking for a full QWERTY keyboard have plenty of options. (And they don’t have extra subscription fees)

So, when I heard about BlackBerry’s new KickStart phone, I sort of started wondering….why? Does BlackBerry know that they are reinventing the wheel? Do they know that most people buy BlackBerry’s simply because they have full keyboards and are built for business?

In my opinion, RIM started expanding their reach with the release of the Pearl. It was def. geared towards the younger crowd, coming in multiple colors and what not. However just looking at these pictures makes me wonder what they are thinking. Do the know there are tons of phones exactly like this, made by companies who ONLY make phones like this?

Check out the photos and let me know what you think.
