Samsung Glyde

Posted on 26 May 2008

Verizon Wireless’ newest touch screen phone is the Glyde by Samsung.  This product is very similar to the LG Voyager, but the Glyde is shorter than the Voyager.  The touch screen they both have are the same size, but the Voyager is definately a heavier phone.  They layout of the Glyde is also very similar to the Voyager’s layout.  They both have 2.0 megapixel cameras and are equipped with bluetooth technology.  The only difference between the two devices is that the Glyde slides out into a QWERTY keyboard and the Voyager you flip it open to access the QWERTY keyboard.  Did Samsung copy off of LG when making the Glyde?  A little yes, but here is the real question, did LG, Samsung, HTC, and other phone producing corporations copy off of Apple’s iPhone?  Since the iPhone has been out on the market, i haven’t seen a device that hasn’t had similar features that mairror the iPhone.  This obviously shows that Apple did a fantastic job when they created the iPhone.  It has obviously met consumers needs, wants, and desires.  Job well done Apple…
